PURPOSELESS OR PURPOSEFULL?

Remember Alice In Wonderland?  In the writing by Lewis Carroll that inspired a movie and a story that kids all over the world now know, Alice comes to a fork in the road.  She asks the Cheshire Cat which direction she should take.

"That depends a good deal on where you want to go," said the Cat.  "I don't care where" said Alice.  "Then it doesn'tmatter which way you walk," said the Cat.

You face similar choices and forks in the road every day.  If you don't care where you are headed, then you (and Alice!) will probably find yourself lost in spiritual 'I wonder land.' But if you are seeking to have an impactful life and you know where you are going then the direction you go and the decisions you make matter a lot.  So how do you know which road to take?

By discovering and living out your God-given purpose.

Since the beginning, God made everything 'on purpose.' He created the sky for a reason: to separate the water of the earth from the waters of the heaven (see Genesis 1:6-8).  He made the land with a purpose:
so there would be a dry ground between the seas for us to live on (Genesis 1:9-10).  He designed the sun and the moon with a plan in mind: to mark off seasons, days, and years (Genesis 1:14).  And as the crowning glory of creation, he made human beings in His own image (Genesis 1:27).  So doesn't it make sense that He has a purpose for you too?

For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible…everything got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him.
(Colossians 1:16 –The Message Bible).

What is purpose?

Purpose gives us focus to know what is important.
Purpose gives us direction to know where to go.
Purpose gives us strength to do what we need to do.

When I was 12 years old, I attended a service at my school that significantly impacted my life's story.  A speaker asked people to come forward if they felt God leading them to give their gifts and talents to Him.  I felt led by God to respond and ask for His direction in discovering His will and purpose for my life.  It was that same year that God began to lead me into music.

One of life's greatest tragedies is not death, but life without discovering your individual God given purpose.  You don't really live unless you know why you're alive.

Want to find God's purpose for your life?

Ask Him!  Spend time with Him.  He wants to make the journey with you towards finding that purposeful life He destined you for.

El amor de Dios Porque de tal manera amó Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo aquel que cree en El, no se pierda, mas tenga vida eterna.

God Bless
